1. General Eligibility
Projects must meet these criteria to qualify:
- Non-excludable, non-rivalrous: Open access and shared benefits.
- Integrity matters: Evidence of unethical behavior (e.g., misuse of funds, fraud, bullying) disqualifies you.
- Not a charity: We prioritize scalable, long-term solutions over direct aid.
- No financial products: Lending, investing, or trading services are not eligible.
2. Categories of Projects
We want bold ideas across these categories:
- Infrastructure: Tools like oracles and dMRV that accelerate climate action or remove GHGs.
- Nature/Ocean Solutions: Projects restoring and protecting ecosystems or promoting marine conservation.
- Climate Adaptation/Resilience: Helping communities and ecosystems adapt to climate change.
- Renewable Energy: Driving clean energy innovations.
3. Early-Stage Focus
- Projects must be at least 1 year old. We’ll verify using Twitter, domain registration, and public records.
- We prioritize early-stage projects with limited prior funding but big potential for ecosystem impact.
4. Metrics and Reporting
Applicants commit to measurable progress:
- Web3 projects must use KarmaGAP to outline milestones and track results. Web2 projects will be onboarded.
- Regular updates showing milestone progress are required.
Projects need to:
- Clear, quantifiable goals with delivery timelines.
- Provide evidence of real-world impact.
5. Community Engagement
We value collaboration. Show how your project will:
- Promote ecosystem coordination and collaboration.
- Maintain consistent communication on outputs, outcomes, and long-term impact.
6. Long-Term Relationships and Follow-On Funding
We’re in it for the long haul:
- Follow-on funding opportunities in future rounds.
- We prioritize projects that show sustained growth and lasting impact.
This round isn’t just about short-term wins—it’s about building a foundation for the future.
